Technology allows students to produce work, receive feedback, and communicate with online collaborators ranging from students in their class or school to experts and others around the world, including sharing the progress and process of the study with parents.
- Google Drive. Users can create and share documents and files.
- Skype. A simple, computer-to-computer videoconferencing tool. Uses webcams and microphones. Needs a software download and an account set-up.
- Wallwisher. Create a collaborative noticeboard.
- CorkboardMe. Create a collaborative cork board. Needs an override.
- Wikispaces. Create a collaborative space on the web to share work, pictures, videos, and media.
- Kidblog. Safe and secure blogging site designed for K-12. Students do not have to enter e-mail addresses and teachers have complete control over everything. Approved by the CBE.
- ePals. Hook your class up with another class somewhere else in the world. Like penpals.
- Tales of Things. Link any object directly to a 'video memory' or an article of text describing its history or background via small printable tags known as QR codes.
- Google Sites. Very easy to navigate, free, website builder.
- Weebly. Probably the easiest website builder out there. Everything is drag and drop. Needs an account sign up.
